jillybean
I subbed a player from one of my tournaments today after he swore at his opponents and accused them of cheating. Obviously, no one is ever happy to get booted from a tournament and this was the reply I received ill tell u too bbo to ban u *****ing idiot goo to hell with ur mother ***** ***** I copied the message to a yellow and was advised to take a screen shot and send it to abuse. Now this person is free to keep on sending messages to me for as long as they like or until abuse get the time to review my email and act, if indeed they decide calling someone ^*^&*^*&^&*^&* is sufficient to take action. I would like to see BBO act immediately and ask for proof later. Some yellows do but not all.
inquiry
It is not always "safe" for a yellow to act immediately. That is, some bans require administrative powers not shared by all yellows. In addition, an immediate ban without investigation takes sides in a dispute. It is usually best for someone to investigate the cause of the problem. Having said that, there are "trusted users" who are a benefit to the BBO and if they claim somone has done something extremely nasty, immediate action is, in fact, generally taken (if it can be), along with a report to abuse to follow up and make certain the correct action was taken. If some yellows take immediate action based upon your word, it means they think you are such a trusted individual. I am sure, not all yellows know you. The solution in the meanwhile is to mark the person as enemy and ignore their chat.

Rain
I don't think it's generally right to act immediately and ask for proof later. Jilly if you've emailed, please make sure you "validate" your email request, otherwise nobody will see the email.
