RAIN AND WEATHER?

RAIN whatever we call it shower, storm, etc is the life line of all forms of life in Planet Earth. So why do we have so much desparity of who gets how much when and where. One of the Canadian Premire told me the techonology is there to creat rain at on demand and selectively, But the problem is with administring the distribution beteewen 193/192 countries, I agree. To me there is a institution called UNITED NATION who can produce the desired result if its financed properly, by G8 COUNTRIES. Its a nobel cause for all, every year the over supply or under supply of RAIN cost are a bundle to all countries.

This is simply not true. If you insert certain chemicals into the air this will help the formation of rain clouds. If there is insufficient water vapor in the air this won't work. As always, when it sounds too good to be true, it is.

There are prime ministers in Second Life? I have read about that thing in the newspaper, what a load of baloney, some people need to get outside and interact with society :)

If there really is technology to make rain clouds form, we could have really used it here over the last yearor two! The drought is forcing people to move and agricultural produce to fall by like 20% over the last few years ...

But, in a bizarre turn of events, Newcastle gets a massive storm, flooding the entire city and a wide area around it, including Sydney, and kills a dozen people! And even Canberra, where I live, has been getting rain almost once every three days. It's amazing. But it won't last, and we'll go back to getting 1 rainy day every two months :)

Imagine if one day we had to import water to keep our population alive?

Check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloud_seeding

But the main problem is that if the sky is blue, there is no water vapour in the air and the sun is scorching the ground below, this strategy won't help you a bit.

In that case check out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desalinization

Desalination uses a lot of fuel, but with our gigantic free coal reserves, the water crisis might overtake climate change in national importance and people won't care so much about the continued overuse of coal ... perhaps.

Well guys thx for the comments. To me in every day wheather forcast we forcast the origin, velocity, paths, where, when, effect, etc so if we know all this to make distribution work is 75 PERCENT complete.

Do you understand the sheer amount of energy contained in a weather system? You could set a nuke off in a hurricane and it probably won't have a measurable impact on the system. Even if we knew what knobs to turn or levers to push, we don't have nearly enough energy to force the system to conform to our whims.

In theory, if we had perfect information about an enormously complex system, some kind of weather control might be possible. People always love the analogy that a flap of a butterflies wing in North America might cause a thunderstorm in China. However, I don't think that we'll ever have this kind of visibility into the weather systems.

Few wks ago i wrote the original topic hoping few great mind in our planet Earth will be able to do it or MOTHER NATURE might do it. Now 2 days ago I heard contenent of Africa was flooded with rain. I could not belive it overjoyed wished all success to to African nation I know they are proud people proud of their origin, colour, race religions and diversity. My only wish as a good friend is if you can get rain regularly please build the best irrigation system in the world since you are startimng from scratch and with the help of hightech. Tthis I hope will bring you prosperity, jobs, peace and a new mark in History.

Thank you your friend Shubi
