What I am looking for is someone who wants to play SAYC (I see no point learning another system, as I can't play this one properly YET) I am Looking for someone who wants to play any conventions as long as we agree them and stick to them, introducing one new one at a time until we are comfortable with them. (start simple and we can bring more into our game as we improve as a partnership) The main emphasis of this partnership will be the way we play cards and defend, so I would like a partner who is prepared to read the same books as me or I will read the same books as them and spend time practicing as well as playing in the occasional tournament. I would not expect my p to only play with me, just at agreed times and I would like to have some fun in the process. I want to improve my bridge and I would like to get a regular partner (one I like and who likes me would be a tremendous bonus) but as I have said I like SAYC and until I can play my cards, defend and bid better, I see no point in me learning a new system. partnership is more important to me, I am not too judgemental and I want someone who is not afraid to tell me when I do something stupid (which may be frequently) and I want someone who will be honest and allow discussion between us as if we dont be honest with each other we will get no where.
