weakish two-suiter in 4th seat

Recommended Posts

8 HCP and I want my PD's to strain to open good 11 counts (even if somewhat flattish) and I want them to open all but the raunchiest 12 counts (ie quacky and stiff K they can pass).

I doubt we have anything if our PD opens aggressively so I pass at IMPs.

I am scared ...

the last time I opened a lightish distributional hand in 4th seat - similar to the example hand in this thread but 4-0-6-3 distribution with two or three more high card points - my left hand opponent who had passed as dealer jumped to 4.

It made :(

Ill open 1D too. Someone didnt open with a 12 count is 1st or 2nd. If its pard, its probably because he's 4333, so I feel confident we dont have a misfit. If pard regularly opens 11 counts with 4H and 5C I also think we have a good chance of a fit and maybe a game.

By the way one of my regular pards regularly passes 4333 13 counts, so I absolutely cant pass this.

By the way, since I think pard has a good hand I think I'll be able to bid my suits without getting passed, so theres no reason for a 1S opening.
