Rain
Annoying acronyms: Some forums I read (not in BBF thankfully!) have posters who use acronyms like: DD, DH, DS, DW (dear daughter, dear husband, dear son dear wife) and they inject this all the time when they can be saying "My son/wife" etc. "SO" for special other is fine. But whassup with the "Dear xyz" interjected into every line? And all the "ur" "dis" kind of shortform sprinkled into every other sentence. Caps lock/gargantum/rainbow coloured fonts: ENOUGH SAID!!!!!!!!!!!![/B] People who claim to be leaving forever and/or ignore xyz's posts "so don't bother to argue with me you are ignored forever and ever i can't see you i had the last word LOLOL" People who don't believe in paragraphing. In Singapore, people who write in "singlish". Example from wiki:"Dis guy Singlish damn powerful one leh." At times (very very infrequent intervals) singlish is used for a humourous effect. But posters who persist in using this in normal english language boards just cause me to lose all respect. ------------- I'll add others on my next caffeine dose. helene_t
What annoyed me the most was the Dutch StepBridge Forum. Like this one, expect that almost all discussions was about the rating system. Everybody had his own suggestion for a reform that would make the rating system 100% fair and was convinced that his own suggestion was brilliant and all the 999 other suggestions were moronic. Rain
haha nice website Justin. I aspire to be nanny, ben = supernanny. Fred is probably the godfather, and uday the admin. BBFers as a whole are definitely very different (in a positive sense) from posters in other forums I frequent. Maybe because the bridge playing demographic is a specific sort. Maybe I'm a troll. Sometimes it feels like being a troll is fun.

Busted a gut, nice J. :) I can see many parallels to the posters here, but I won't name 'names'.
jdonn
Any talk of ZAR count as a serious evaluation tool, especially in beginner forums. Thanks a lot Big-Dog, er Justin, I just wasted so much time looking at all those!
Guest Jlall
Yeah it's a great site, I frequent several forums and all the regs fit into at least one of these roles nicely. I won't mention his name since it gets me banned by a certain nanny but I actually found this site on the mini-blog of one of my good friends :)

Geoff Edit:- As a university graduate in Latin (honest!!, but back in the sixties), I think but am not sure it should be 'profundis', rather than 'profundus'. But I don't want to be considered one of those maximus thingies. Edited May 31, 2007 by GeeGee
Codo
I hate that 95% of all posters who posted a real blunder are not able to say: Yes sorry, I was wrong but still try to defend there silly position. I dislike comments like : "3 NT" to a poll. without any reasoning.
keylime
The overuse of the exclaimation point. That bugs me to no end. Secondly, the pandemic of "faster"....no matter what the circumstance.
