pclayton
Expect to murder them at these colors. Yet again another compete over the preempt and delayed raise :(

the hog
Pass. I bid my hand, partner bid hers. Seriously though I agree with Phil - you don't get many problems like this at the table.
jillybean
Yet again another compete over the preempt and delayed raise :( Please explain or link me to the thread.
han
There have been about 4 threads lately where somebody made a preempt and then raised the preempt later, or passed initially instead of overcalling and then came in later. Although it is conceivable that that is right on a given hand, it is usually the sign of a poor bidder. As these hands have all been posted in the last week or so you can surely find them (I think one other was posted by you).
jillybean
Ok, I dont read all of the 100's of posts a week but I'll take a look :(
whereagles
Expect to murder them at these colors. Yet again another compete over the preempt and delayed raise :( sht happens when you play namyats :( Incidently, I'm more tempted into bidding 5♦ than to pass.. lol

helene_t
Don't worry, Kathryn. North could easily have had four clubs since "pass" would have been normal with only three. Besides, it's tough luck that you got only 200 at this board - West diserved a much worse dummy and an unfavorable spades split for his crazzy 4♣ bid. Fluffy
If going to bid 4NT is the correct bid, still I would pass, lucky dummy avoided a bloody score

jdonn
It's too bad partner didn't find the obvious low spade lead. ;) If north can do that, why can't west find the obvious club toward the 9 continuation at trick 2? Anyone who pulled this double if playing with me would never be my partner again. Very frustrating when you have them creamed then partner does that! West was quite lucky to just be down 1. Trade a diamond of north's for the spade 9 from east, hardly a selfish request, and it would be -3 for 800.
