foo
2S is artificial and denies 4 clubs. It wasn't an option. What system is this? What is the actual 1D-2C structure you were using? It's kind of hard to make useful comments based on something akin to Standard or 2/1 when what is being discussed is different...
jdonn
2S is artificial and denies 4 clubs. It wasn't an option. And kind of silly even if it were possible. And moot since opener could as easily have one more diamond and one less spade. Your auction seems to have worked perfectly. After responder bids 4♣ the pair is well on its way to slam, opener can all but just bid it even at that point.
han
I don't know what the problem is. I've told you what the auction means, so why can't you comment on what you would do later? I don't think the negative inferences are that important here. It really doesn't matter here if partner has AKx x Axxxx QJxx or the actual hand. Our system more or less based on 2/1 GF. We play artificial follow ups in auctions starting with 1X-2C.
Fluffy
I don't see any problem on that, he specified what the biddings meant, and this is NOT the SA-2/1 forum. I don't know what 'akin' means anyway.
