How do balance with nt hand type?

Here are a guide I read somewhere. Does it have sense? A better choice?

Would u be different at MP/IMP/TEAMS)

 

1NT=10-12

X and NT=13-15

2NT=16-18

cue bid and NT=19+

Over 1C:

 

1NT = 11-15

dbl then 1NT = 16-18

2NT = 19-21

Double then 2NT = even stronger but I never have those.

 

This (give or take a point) would be considered standard by most US players.

 

Over 1S you can't double and then bid 1NT (unless LHO redoubles, but you can't count on that) so the ranges become larger. I've heard 1NT = 12-17 is popular among some experts.
