pbleighton
Partner made a very unilateral bid. Trust him and pass. Peter
mikeh
We assume one of two things: partner is an idiot or partner has an extremely unusual hand (or both?). Last time I looked, there was a lot of room between 3♥ and 6♣, yet he took it all away. I am morally convinced that he manufactured his reverse: x x AKx AKQxxxxx makes sense to me.... well, I wouldn't have bid it that way, but I couldn't come up with any hand on which I would have jumped to 6♣. In any event, my conscience is clear when I pass. If a good partner makes a completely unilateral decision, then you should stay out of his way unless you have a clear call: thus, with Axxxxx AKQxxx x void, I'd bid 7♣. pclayton
Clear pass. I don't our hand helps pard much, and he's advertising that his clubs are better than any suit we could have. I fully expect a (0-2)=4=7 or a a (0-2)=3=8 for this bidding.
whereagles
I don't know what pard is talking about, but I see no reason to bid on... so pass.
SoTired
Pass, obviously. Partner did not ask our opinion. Even with mikeh's hand (Axxxxx AKQxxxx x -), I would be nervous about bidding 7C. I would really want the DA before bidding 7C.
P_Marlowe
Pass, wtp? Sry, I have no idea, what is goingon, and the only thing I can do is pass. With kind regardsMarlowe
Fluffy
oh, I though this problem was harder :), too unanimous
skjaeran
It's hard to come up with a reasonable hand for partner to have here. But as he didn't ask for my opinion, I won't give any. Clear pass.
inquiry
oh, I though this problem was harder :o, too unanimous We all wait for MikeH to tell us waht is right, then we agree with him trying to make the answer our own. Or is it pbleighton who we wait for, because he had the same reply. But on this hand, I can't imagine anything other than pass. Are you going to share partners hand with us? Fluffy
Partner's hand doesn't matter much, you made 6♣/♠/NT and 7♥ because he had stiff ♥J mmm people at the forums is well known to bid whatever the top contract is, maybe they find 7♥ here aswell hehe Partner's hand: ♠A9♥J♦AJ10♣AKQ8643

On this hand, I hate your partners action. Well, ok 1C is fine, and 2D is great. Sorry your hand had to jump to 3H to forcing, I would have started 2H then a frocing 3H (but I play reverse flannery by responder, so 2H is forcing, but after the reverse is clearly still is). Partner, in a forcing auction, then took the bull by the horns and blasted to 6C, hoping that you 1) didn't have a void, and if you had a singleton it would be JACK or the suit would split 3-3, 2)Hoping that you didn't REALLY think he had diamonds when he bid them. At least for me, the jump to 6C removed diamonds from the picture. 3) Hoped you would not bid grand slam on all those hands you could ahve for 3H taht did not include at least two clubs. As for this hand, I think it is safe no one is finding hearts. However, they might find spades (A9 is sort of better support for a suit that is at least as long as hearts, where opener held just the jack.) I don't think this hand even is close to a 6C bid. I allow as I would probably have rebid a natural 4NT over 3H

Will I reach 7H? I am certain that I wont. With kind regardsMarlowe
whereagles
#1 why not 2C instead of 1C Don't you know that by forum lore 2♣ is reserved for hands with 10 playing tricks (11 if minor) or 25 hcp, that are not 2-suiters? Trespassers will be prosecuted for heresy.
