inquiry
[hv=n=sa8532haq953dj7ck&s=sqt7hk2daq9caj876]133|200| N S1NT 2H2S 3H4S 4N5D 5H6S all pass 4N was two suit agreement after responder showed a two suiter opposite balanced hand, 5C showed 3 keys out of six, 6D asked for spade queen, 6S showed it. Opening lead club 2 (3/5 leads), East plays the 3 (udca -- count in this situation). [/hv] Not the worlds greatest slam (one that would make Roland feel right at home I guess). You got to hold spade losers to one, you have to avoid a diamond loser (you could throw diamond on club ACE), and you need to deal with the fourth round of hearts should the suit not split 3-3 (ruffing a heart might introduce a second trump loser, so you need to take that into account in play I guess). There are some extra changes, double hook in diamond for 3D tricks, set up a club for two pitches to go along with a sucesful DK hook, and perhaps some squeeze chances (with 4S, 2C, 3H and successful DQ hook for 11 tricks after you lose one trump only). Any concept to the correct way to handle trumps in this hand or if your correct trump handling manages to avoid two trump losers, how to deal with the other problems of the hand. One or two of us on this site might recongnize this hand, as it was played by someone here.
Fluffy
I like the pressure that a low spade from dummy creates on RHO at trick 2 if you do it quick enough.
