kgr
I'm learning a new system with a 'new' partner. It includes transfer Walsh, transfer preempts, multi, fit bids.... (I don't think we will gain anything from using most of it, it's more for fun). Partner wants to play once a week on BBO.Questions related to this and Full Disclosure (I'm wondering if using FD is worth the effort):- If FD file already exists for some of the conventions, can these be plugged in easily in the overall system? If Yes: where should I look for existing FD files.- Who can see the alerts when using FD in BBO (As a start it would be good if I can see alerts of my own bids...even in the beginning if partner could see them)?- Is it a lot of work to make an FD file? inquiry
- Is it a lot of work to make an FD file? First question last. Is it hard? No. Does it take really, really long time to get an incomplete product? Yes Most people give up, so maybe describing this combination as "hard" is acceptible. - If FD file already exists for some of the conventions, can these be plugged in easily in the overall system? If Yes: where should I look for existing FD files. After you open your FD card, there is an option something like manage conventions, where if you click on that you will see a fair number of conventions you can add to your card. - Who can see the alerts when using FD in BBO (As a start it would be good if I can see alerts of my own bids...even in the beginning if partner could see them)? From the conv button on BBO press the conv button and then click the last option in the pop up menu entitled "options" and you can set who can see what FD alerts.
