How would you plan to bid the following hand?

Axx

Q

AJ10x

AQxxx

If you open 1C or 1D, what would you rebid after partner's 1H response?

Also (but besides the poll), what would you rebid after partner responds 1S?

Ughhh, everything I do is wrong.

I will open 1D and rebid 2C. It lies about my shape, but it doesn't lie about my strength... I just happen to be super max for this bid. If partner makes another move, I will buy him/her a drink, and if not, hopefully we haven't missed anything.

If partner responds 1S, I will still rebid 2C. If I had a minimum opener, I would be happy to raise to 2S, but with this good a hand for the minors, I will still try 2C and give my partner the spade raise later, if it magically comes back around to me.

Edit: 1NT is tempting :)

1nt, tells my partner exactly how strong my hand is and hope to play in 3nt or 4.

I ‘d rather not play in a minor and I definitely don’t want to play in a 4-3 minor fit if I’ve lied about the shape to show my strength. :)

Edit: Oops I have and 's reversed now I open 1 and rebid 2's wtp? :)

I rebid 2 over 1

I open a club rebid rebid 2D over 1H. Every time I turn around the values for a reverse go up a bit, like the price of gasoline. Originally the idea was that since responder has to go to the three level to get back to opener's first suit, the hand has to be strong enough to play there. This seems to qualify.

If partner bids 1S instead of 1H I am thrilled and bid 2D and then support spades. I presume that this shows a good hand, a stiff heart, three spades, and more clubs than diamonds. Most likely partner has five spades since else, with my stiff heart, I would have expected his first response to be 1H. Not what you would call QED of course. Things are looking up.

Wait, what's the problem here? Isn't this about standard strength for a reverse? I mean, the stiff Q is yucky and your suits aren't as good as they could be, but if partner bids hearts, there's a nice chance that it's a useful card, and if he bids spades, then your secondary support is likely good...

reverse.

Allows partner to rebid 2H with a weakish, nongame force hand and 5+H. In theory my 2D promises a rebid but my plan is to just pass. This plan risks missing a making 3nt if partner has certain 8-9 hcp hands with 5 hearts that partner does not make a game force bid with.

If she rebids a weakish 2nt, not promising stoppers, I just make my natural rebid of 3clubs.

If partner bids one spade I still reverse, but have no problems now, just bid my hand normal.
