Finch Posted March 16, 2007 Report Share Posted March 16, 2007 We had a new sequence to an unusual final contract last night. 1NT (1) 2♣ (2)2♦ (3) 2♥ (4)2♠ (5) 4♣ (6)4NT (7) 5NT (8)Pass (9) (1) 15-17(2) 5-card Stayman(3) no 5-card major(4) 4 hearts (or some 5-5 majors), F1(5) 4 spades, not 4 hearts(6) 4 hearts, 4 clubs, no singleton or void, slam interest(7) minimum, no club fit(8) Are you sure you are really minimum?(9) Yes, I am 4243 with no useful pips This was exactly the right spot (10 top tricks plus a 100% double squeeze for 11), but sadly made an overtrick with a very favourable lie.
