gwnn
Given that pard has passed I think slam is not very likely. So I'd also pass. If pard hadn't passed, this would be a little harder a call.
Guest Jlall
If you routinely pass in these situations partner will be very happy with you. If you miss a perfecta slam, oh well. I'd love partner to be able to bid happily with 5 trumps and a nice 7 or 8 points and not fear us bidding again.

pbleighton
Pass. Partner expects you to have a good hand to double 3D in the direct seat. You have some extras, but not enough to push on. Peter
Apollo81
Pass. You dont have that much over a min takeout double. For each 1 time you bid on and reach a good slam, you will pass your side's last making contract (4♥) several or more times.
pclayton
Pass. Partner is bidding under pressure.
awm
How much more do people need to bid over 4♥? I agree with pass on the actual hand, but I think with another black suit king I would bid on.
P_Marlowe
Hi, you have one Ace above a min X, and you facea passed partner, in other words even 4H maygo down. With kind regardsMarlowe
Walddk
Pass is the percentage call in my opinion. Yes, you may miss the odd slam, but you will go down in 5 or 6 more often. I am not going to hang partner for bidding 4♥ on ♠ Qx♥ Q10xxxx♦ xx♣ Kxx Now the 5-level could be too high. I agree with Adam that I need to add at least a black suit king in order to move over 4♥. I agree with pass on the actual hand, but I think with another black suit king I would bid on. I was thinking the same. There is a logical end to giving partner slack for a 4♥ call, and a triple 4-1 prime 19 warrants another move.
mikeh
If you routinely pass in these situations partner will be very happy with you. If you miss a perfecta slam, oh well. I'd love partner to be able to bid happily with 5 trumps and a nice 7 or 8 points and not fear us bidding again. Exactly right (imho :) ) Also remember that it is almost always wrong to play partner for the perfect hand: partners rarely hold it. Finally, consider a few minimum hands he might have.. hands on which he would stretch to bid, bearing in mind that he was under pressure and would be expecting you to act cautiously. Are you safe at the 5-level? If a perfect hand makes 6 AND a bad hand is safe at the 5-level, you can make a try... See Roland's example of a hand lacking 5-level safety
whereagles
pass. the hand has great controls but is otherwise a bit moth-eaten 4441's usually don't play very well unless you can crossruff stuff. auction doesn't hint at that, so pass. I too agreed with pass having forced partner to speak I do not want to punish him more. As it happened the ♣K was lead and partner cruised to 13 tricks. Well done partner.
