gwnn
I think in SAYC you just ignore the dbl. So pass. It's not like they rate to take 8 tricks. We've got about 20 hcp. With no prior agreement, everything else is a bit too risky (XX: partner might take you "seriously". 2♣ might be interpreted as Stayman. 3♣ might be interested in long invitational clubs). If I know partner will understand, I'd try 3♣ - preemptive. ps: are you sure dbl was meant as natural?
whereagles
3♣, and if pard bids, 4♣. If he still bids again, 5♣.

P_Marlowe
2C, over 2H / 2S, 3C,and over 3NT, 4C. With kind regardsMarlowe
jtfanclub
2C, over 2H / 2S, 3C,and over 3NT, 4C. With kind regardsMarlowe I would never bid 4C over 3NT....I would rather gamble that partner has 3 clubs and we'll take 6 or 7 club tricks. But then I have a strict policy of 'no running from weakness unless doubled'. 3NT should show support for clubs- if he hated clubs, he should pass 3C. 3NT isn't going to be a better contract. kenberg
3C and if partner bids 3N he will play it there. It's his problem. Possibly a miracle will occur. Possibly, not likely, he understands 3C and wants to play 3N. Kxx/Ax/Axxx/AJxx maybe.
