i don't know what is the meaning of "kemo sabe" in english, would anyone like to  explain?thanks

although such,i understand 5 better than 4.

the reason is 2 guarantee 6cards+,and length of :1/2/3+,means +<=4cards.

my english so poor,i have to use logical symbol to tell u.

sorry

regards 000002 :P

"kemo sabe" is an expression used in the old "Lone Ranger" radio shows.

The character "Tonto" was a Native American scout. He used this expression when addressing the Lone Ranger. There is a fair amount of debate about the origins of the expression. The following URL has a decent write up.

i am reading now, with an electric-english-dictionary, seems a snail climbing slowly.

:D ;) :P

thank u

BTW,i ought to reciprocate, 5 is a special raising but 2honor trump.

because we can jump 4nt or 5minor(exclusive) to seek trump honor.

what is the truth of 5 leap?

an unbalanced hand, which is value for potential trump super-fit .

edit:

i forgot the key word---5 leap is a slam invitation---only need 2bidder's unbalanced hand .

Someone play the hand with a spade lead to the ace and a spade back. Gets a little dicey does it not? Looks to me like some entry issues to establish the club/heart squeeze.

I don't think this would make on a trump lead (assuming we have no red suit 9s).

I seriously doubt they would be leading trumps on this auction though (as a more typical hand is good trumps and long hearts, ie AKxx AKJxxxx xx --- in which case the only lead one wouldn't want to make ever is a trump).

Late to the party here. But you suspect that the 2nt bidder has lots of clubs, so you can double 2nt first planning to bid 4c over the expected 3c bid, can't you ? Most likely partner will sign-off in 4s, now 5c has to be exclusion. All this only only if I think LHO is capable of psyching a 1nt bid, otherwise I'll settle for 6s hoping that partner wasn't doing something silly like bidding 2s with J8xxx and a King outside at favorable vulnerability (I've seen enough players, including the so-called good ones doing it in serious games, so please don't laugh). He'll then tell you that you should have expected the heart finesse to be off, so it'll be your fault then.

This is debatable - when the opps bid directly to a slam and your partner has overcalled 1N they ain't doin' it on overwhelming high card strength - if they need ruffs a trump is standout - if slam bidder has upteem diamonds and a spade fit, trump lead ain't so standout.

Still, I don't think a trump lead is not so out of the question, and I couldn't find a way to make it on a trump lead.
