barmar
I've seen someone use a clapping had emoji in BBO chat - how do you do that? The same way you type emojis in any other application. On a Mac, the Edit menu in every application has "Emojis and Symbols", which displays a dialog with all the emojis. I'm not sure what the equivalent on Windows is. Chas_P
Call me a cynic, but I see absolutely nothing positive about "wdp" for making a cold contract nor "gdp" for beating a contract holding a 5-0 trump stack. Pull off a Vienna Coup and you'll get a WDP! from me. Or beat a contract with a brilliant opening lead and you'll get a GDP! from me. But "wdp" and "gdp" to congratulate routine play, while courteous, are just mundane imo.
nullve
Zelandakh used (came up with?) the instantly understandable abbreviation 'cog+' in a recent thread. I thought that was creative.

barmar
Some people write "wdp" reflexively whenever partner doesn't go down. It doesn't matter if it's due to a defensive error, or they could have done even better. Don't take it so seriously.
