sceptic
Hi all I am thinking of doing a meeting in Ireland for BBO, cyber bridgers I have just run one in england and I am about to agree a deal that will enable me to hold it annually, I am also trying to sort out one for scotland and I would like to do one for Ireland. What I need is someone in Ireland that is willing to work with me to make this a reality, the pay is lousy , the hours can be erratic and sometimes you will bang your head against a wall apart from that it can be quite stressful leading up to the weekend, but it has proven to me to be a lot of fun. To give you some idea of what help I would like, is someone willing to locate a suitable venue, that we could secure, someone that may be able to run the weekend from a technical point of view (i.e very experienced TD) or perhaps knows people we could approach and we will be able to pay them for this, (I will stand any financial commitment, you will not have to worry about that aspect) we would also need to source a guest for the weekend, someone of good standing that would be willing to do a seminar for the weekend. if anyone fits any of these criteria or is a TD capable of running the weekend or is interested in doing a guest spot at the weekend and would like to speak further about what is involved and what is on offer, please email me at wayne.mayer@btinternet.com or phone me 01908 613918
Walddk
I can't help you with Ireland and Scotland, but I can if you think Denmark (at Birkerød 15 miles north of Copenhagen) is a good idea for an event like this. I own a bridge centre with more than 600 square metres (52 tables), so I have plenty of room. There is also a cheapish hotel right across the street. Let me know if this has any appeal, but before you approach me, I need to tell you that it has to be a weekend in May, June, July or August.
