DWM
[hv=d=s&v=b&s=skjt9xxxxhxxdxxcx]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] What is your bid as dealer? Some system stuff 2S is weak (5-9) with 6+ cards in spades 4S is to play, we do not anything to show the difference between a poor 4S open and a good one. pbleighton
3S, 4S is reasonable, but vul I bid 3. Peter
gwnn
3♠ is the normal choice, 4♠ is mine. 3♠+1 can be rather annoying if pd has QAjtAxxxxxxxx
BebopKid
If the point of opening that hand is to be preemptive, I'm opening 4♠.
han
I vote 4S. I'm enjoying the big 3S's Ben, how many have you got so far?
Apollo81
I'd open 3 at unfavorable and 4 otherwise.
whereagles
4♠ NV, 3♠ else
han
I would also open 3S at unfavorable btw.

pclayton
4♠. If I opened this 3♠ and the opponents bid 4♥, I would be sorely tempted to sac. Why give yourself the last guess? Get your hand off your chest pronto.

adhoc3
With tolerant pard, 4♠; with no-so-tolerant pard, 4♠ and hope would not screwed by bad lucky. :)
Guest Jlall
3S, this hand just doesnt have the playing strength for a 4S bid red. I won't be tempted at all if they bid.

Edmunte1
I would have opened 3♠ in red, not enough tricks for 4♠. 3♠ takes a lot of bidding space, so opps have already a hard time usually. The bigest problem with 4♠ is that it takes too much space, and it will be often the final contract (doubled or no). Missing 2 spade honours, the penality will be more frequent
