hotShot
Hi! If we are directing tournaments, we are often asked to adjust scores. As a TD i cannot see the players movie, just the movie of the table i join. The new movements are great, but you never know what table a player were in the previous round round. So i'd like to have a feature that put's the TD at a table using board number and players name or shows me that boards movie. If this is to difficult it might help to put the table number into the players movie. That was i can check if the adjustment i'm asked is corect and if neccesary ask opponents if they agree. inquiry
Ask the player wanting an adjusted score to message you with the bridge movie is suppose to solve this problem (I think). I have never actually tried this. Ben
hotShot
Hi!Well the players movie does not show the actual play!Just the cards and the result. If they say "contract was already 2 down" or"i claimed and they did not answer on time" i can verify this only by checking the full movie at the table where it was played. No to mention that lots of players can't even find out from the movie if they where NS or EW. I guess those cannot send a movie at all. uday
Y, we know the TD needs a better way to obtain info about prior boards. On the list, and i'll get to it once i wrap up my current project ( another cpl weeks, i fear).
hotShot
Hi! Well i see that this is complicated.Perhaps there is a simpler way for a start. Maybe one could use a web address for some kind of tourney log, showing:1) who played what board at what table2) whom i had to sub Should not be to complicated to append a list of tables to a plain text file at the beginning of each round and to append the substitution messages to it. I could reload that information any round in my browser, and look where a player has been. At the end of the tourney i could just save it for future use. Viewing my tourney log's i could detect notorious tourney jumpers, who leave, if they don't expect a good result.
