opening lead problem

Recommended Posts

The full version of "4th highest" is usually - in the UK at least - "4th highest from length to an honour, second from a poor suit" which makes the 'book' lead the 4 from 642 and the 2 from Q62. Another popular version is "4th from length to an honour, highest we can afford from low ones" which measn the 6 from 642.

Which is the correct lead on a particular hand depends on your hand and the auction.
