Mr. Dodgy
A few times lately this has happened to me: when I attempt to send a mail message to someone, the 'waiting for response from server please wait' dialog comes up but never goes away. The only option is to hit the log off button and reconnect (or am I just impatient? Usually it takes only a second or two). Reconnecting in these circumstances seems to take a long time too. It may be that this is a old problem (why else put the log off button there?). Any advice would be appreciated. Regards, Justin
helene_t
I've noticed a (maybe) related problem: running BBO within VMWare under Ubuntu, certain network activity outside VMWare (not sure which) causes the BBO-client to loose connection. uday
The waiting dialog while sending email means that BBO is having problems getting you the notification that your email was sent. This happens when, say, we're doing backups and everything is sluggish, or when we suffer a mass boot and we're recovering. it could also happen if your connection got messed up while you were waiting for the notification Generally I'd say wait a few secs and login again. if you get in quickly the problem was likely w/the conn. if the problem is with bbo, the re-login will also take a while
