US Top Level Changes

Last night we saw (on BBO of course) Fallenius working on bidding with Fredin, and tonight Welland (roy on BBO) is having a team game with partner Willenken (junior on BBO). A posting on the usbf site discusses possible changes:

Still no word yet if Gitelman-Moss switching to a big club ;)

 

Not sure what it means by "Nickell (Freeman, Meckstroth-Rodwell, Hamman-Soloway) etc." unless Kokish the coach is the etc., but that would be eok (typo now fixed, see posting below)

If this is true it's not good news for those involved, but perhaps this is a chance for some others to get onto the USA2 team (specifically thinking of Justin, for example).

 

In Germany one of the national team pairs has broken up (surprisingly after their biggest success so far: beating Italy and the Netherlands to win the European Club Championship in Rome this year)

 

Instead of Gotard (Tomek) - Piekarek (Jutek) the new pairings are

 

Gotard - Linde (J Li)

Piekarek - Smirnov (Smirny)

 

the other two national team pairs (currently) are:

 

Gromöller (Blade) - Kirmse (AKi)

Wladow (NTV) - Elinescu (ElMich)

 

At the White House invitational the last two pairs will play with Piekarek - Smirnov.

Sorry, I think it means that the author didn't do a very good job of proof-reading B) . I've fixed it.
