ArcLight
You need to ask Fred. He has a package for that.
fred
You can use the Movie window within BBO to create .lin files with comments. Once you have typed in the deal, bidding, and play sequence, use the Annotate button near the bottom of the Movie window to enter a mode in which you can add comments. Make sure you save your file (using the Save button at the bottom of the Movie window) when you are done. Most likely you can figure out the details, but if not I suggest you make another Forums post and I (or someone else) will try to help. The package that ArcLight mentions is likely not necessary for what you have in mind. This is a program that is deisgned to make more sophisticated .lin files than the ones that you can make the the Movie window on BBO. dosxtres
Ty both, I'll try what u suggest Fred, but, to be sure. I dont want to attach a comment to the lin. What I want is to make a lin how i have seen that you can add comments for each click of "next button" while showing the first bid, next-- comments and show the next bid. At the end of the bidding next button shows the lead and you can add comments, then you can add comments at any trick you are interested to. That is posible with actual BBO? or maybe I need that package?

That is posible with actual BBO? or maybe I need that package? You should be able to do this from the Movie window. Log in to BBO, click the MOVIE button on the toolbar, click the "Open" button at the bottom of the Movie window, and open the file you are interested in. Select the hand that you want to add comments to by clicking on the appropriate line on the left side of the Movie window. Then click the "Annotate" button at the bottom of the Movie window. That will put you into a mode where you can enter comments about specific bids and plays. If, when you finish annotating a hand, you want to add comments to another hand, click on the appropriate line on the left side of the Movie window and do the same thing again. When you are done make sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the Movie window. Later you should try using the "open bridge movie on your computer" button that appears BEFORE you log in (as opposed to using the Movie window) to view the annotated file. Thanks - I am glad you like it. Unfortunately there is no easy way that I know of to accomplish your "last thing" (assuming I understand what it is you are trying to accomplish). Most likely you can do this via some careful editing, copying, and pasting through a text editor (like Windows Notepad), but I am afraid you are either going to have to figure this out on your own or get someone else to help you. Almost certainly there are regular Forums readers (besides me) who know how to do this. ITSurabaya
is it possible to show alternative line of play? so when I click the "next" button, the hand goes to several tricks before, and then the alternative line will be explained. super01
HiI am a little confused.Fred saysLog in to BBO, click the MOVIE button on the toolbar, click the "Open" button at the bottom of the Movie window, and open the file you are interested in.When i log on to bbo the only reference i can find to movies is going to practice - then training tools and bridge movies but there does not appear to be any way to save a created movie off line?Is there another place to create movies? barmar
Fred was talking about the old, Windows download version of BBO, which isn't available to most users any more. That feature isn't in the web version.
