Patapon Posted January 13, 2007 Report Share Posted January 13, 2007 Being jobless lately, I have had time to read much more :P Muhammad Yunnus is an economist from Bangladesh.He is also a 2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner.He has invented the micro-credit, for very poor people.He founded the Grameen Bank, which now serves 58 countries worldwide.But only women can take out a loan.. It is no new discovery that his idea is based on but the new thing is that he has focussed the idea a way for all countries to walk along. The idea to help families via loans in small economy scale has for many years been one of the key stones for development aid programmes from the scandinavian countries.
