rholladay
Issue 1 I can't search the forum for gib since search doesn't support short words. So it is very difficult to know if my issue has been addressed in the past ... so ... The real Issue I've rented GIB. When I play a hand with GIB I never get the "Ask GIB for advice" or "Show double dummy analysis" options when I click the GIB button. I have all 3 of the "double dummy analysis" GIB options checked. I've tried turning kibitzing off and on and changed the GIB advice speed, but to know avail. I suspect there is something obvious I'm missing. Echognome
The "Ask GIB for Advice" and "Show double dummy analysis" is intended for kibitzing. If you could use those features when playing it would be tantamount to cheating (in particular the DD analysis). I don't know what the settings are, but perhaps at a teaching table it would be useful for these features to be available.
rholladay
OK. That makes sense. I was thinking it would be useful for learning, being quite the beginner. Perhaps I can set up a table with GIB playing all 4 hands and kibitz there. That would serve basically the same function. Thanks.

You can replay any hand and use GIB for double dummy analysis... to do this, simply open netbridgevu software but instead of clicking the login button, click the thin button on the bottom of the screen that is labelled "Open bridge movie from your computer"
Ant590
Do remember though that GIB's DD analysis is not necessarily how even the best players might play the hand- just what works with this *exact* layout. As for the 'ask GIB for advice', I couldn't possibly comment.
