SAYC only Tourney

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if it was possible if I could run a tournament where everybody is playing same system. SAYC is coming to my mind, but my question is if I can post a CC that everyone can view, on every table ? Kinda like the Individual tournament ACBL is running? Would really like to get some input on this :)

Thx Mike ;D

With the advent of the new "friends only" tournment, let me suggest one way. You could create a tournment with a description that people would have to first join your table in the main room.

1) At that table you post a convention card you want them to play.

2) They come on to the table and say they want to play

3) You tell them to click on your cc and save it,

4) they are to use that cc in the tournment.

5) you add them to your "friend list"

I would create a new logo- for this action, so as not to mess up your other friend list. Maybe something like SAYC-05 or something.

Thx Ben ;D that looks like it mite work, so it is kinda like having a private club, a SAYC club, where all the members can play, or least copy the SAYC CC. Will look into it.

It is like having a private club, but as we all know, having a private club just to run tournment limitations is not a solution. However, if you wanted to start an SAYC only private club and were willing to push to make it successful as a training ground, that might work.

No, I want everybody able to play in it. My idea is like the one they use in ACBL, were everybody is playing a std system, and it is set up as an Individual. And kinda have a few qualifying rounds a semifinal, maybe 2, and then a 2 round Final. A very basic system, so most of the bridge is done on common sense, feeling and judgement.
