And it's usually not worth posting them, because opponents never bother to look for one (as they don't expect to find one). How to break this circle? Short of mandating CC's for some tourneys (which might just deter people), I think a simple feature would get them used much more often: Give a small notice when opponents have a CC posted. For example by highlighting the "convention cards"-button at the bottom. I know I would be much more inclined to post one if I don't first have to tell opponents that I have posted one at all. Then click Save, and pick a file name to recognize the partner(s) for which this CC is for. Next time, you can reuse it with "Open", selecting the file, and then pressing "Use". If you are really adventurous you could try to "fill" out your convention card offline.They are stored as a flat text flie in the directory under the bridgebase online program named "convention cards". The file format is fairly staight foward, but be careful, only so much space is available for each text area. I don't recommend this approach. It is, however, possible to be logged in to BBO and not be playing bridge - difficult, yes, but possible! My favourite tack: host an invisible room, sit down, work on the card (if you're working on it with partner present, get her in and sat first), "use"ing and "save"ing frequently (Use means that partner can see it).
