inquiry
Since Brian Boitano was able to do "two sow cows and a triple lutz,While wearing a blindfold" according to the song, he would only go for the gold in bridge in grand slams. I have already posted one grand slam where he would go right. If there is any interest, I will post more "what would Brian Boitano" do hands -- all grand slams -- if there is any interest. Along that theme, here is another one.. [hv=d=s&v=e&n=sak3hadkjt2cqj542&s=sj76hkj6da9cat873]133|200|Scoring: IMPWest North East South - - - 1♣ Pass 2♣ Pass 2NT Pass 4NT Pass 6♣ Pass 7NT Pass Pass Pass [/hv] We will blame this one on an overly excitable partner. 7NT is not such a good contract, but things go well early. Trick 1 ♥T-A-2-6 2 ♣Q-6-7-9 3 ♣2-K-A-♥3 If and when you cash three more clubs, WEST throws three more hearts, EAST is more neutral thowing a spade and heart and a diamond. To get this right, just ask yourself, what would Brian Boitona do?
Winstonm
As I would play this as a repeating squeeze, I would cash the AK of spades and the heart K before finishing off the clubs, then cash the heart K and pitch a spade. If neither major queen appears, A of diamonds and diamond to the K. If a major Q appears, cash the jack in that suit, again squeezing RHO in diamonds and the other major.
jdeegan
:) I'm easy. First thing I see is to play LHO for the ♦Q and another queen or five spades. Go for the diamond finesse and squeeze. End position is the dummy with: ♠ J♦ KJ10 opposite ♠ x♥ KJ♦ 9 Play heart king, planning on throwing the spade J WE STILL LOVE YOU BRIAN
cnszsun
First, i don't think west will lead Q109 against 7NT, so i place ♥Q on east.Second, we have only 11 top tricks now. Unless you find someone ♦Qxx, ♦ guess is not enough to make contract. So, i will guess west with ♦Q and try a double squeeze.Cash ♠A in case a stiff Q, ♦A, ♦9, ♦K pitching a ♠ in hand, run all ♣s, the ending is:♠Kx ♦Jvs♠x ♥KJ

What would Brian Boitano do If he was here right now, He'd make a plan And he'd follow through, That's what Brian Boitano'd do. And this is just what cnszsun has done, so he ties for the gold with for doing what Brian Boitano'd do..... The full hands were (and yes, this was a bbo hand): [hv=d=s&v=e&n=sak3hadkjt2cqj542&w=st94ht9543dq874c9&e=sq852hq872d653ck6&s=sj76hkj6da9cat873]399|300|Scoring: IMP[/hv]
jdeegan
:D The winning play is not the percentage play, even assuming west CANNOT EVER have the heart queen.

Really, care to elaborate what you think the percentage play is?
1eyedjack
Since Brian Boitano was able to do "two sow cows and a triple lutz,While wearing a blindfold" according to the song, :) I can well imagine him doing two salkows wearing a blindfold, but to do two sow cows would certainly earn him respect.
