boris3161
The dialog for setting up team matches has a diagram of the two tables. I have recently set up a couple of team matches and I'm 90% sure that the resultant tables didn't reflect the initial set up specified. The teams were correct but the seating arrangements weren't as specified. Next time I create a match, I'll take screen shots to prove it or otherwise - but I wondered if anyone else had noticed the same thing. Software is 5.0.1. Ant590
I agree that the team set-up is a little unintuitive: Team1's NS play against Team2's EW and vice-versa.
paulg
I host a lot of team matches with the latest software and have never noticed a problem. However, I agree with Ant that it takes a few matches to get used to entering TEAMS rather than TABLES in the set-up. Additionally the order of the players in the table list is North, South, East, West which is also counter-intuitive when you have entered the West name to the left of the East name in the set-up. p
Rain
Yeah I've made that mistake too even after being a BBOer for so long. I never realised why, thanks for pointing out that its because we're used to normal table setup.
Guest Jlall
I've probably made 1000 team games and I've noticed whenever I tell anyone else to make it they ALWAYS make this mistake if it's their first time hosting. I also made it my first time hosting one.
boris3161
Thanks for the replies. OK - so my mistake! Could it/should it be more intuitive? If everyone makes the same mistake, it tends to suggest that the user interface could be improved...
