Schedule $1 MBT to start every 30 min. again?

Since the schedule for $1 MB tournaments was changed so that they start every 15 minutes instead of 30, overall attendance seems to be down significantly. I think many players wait for some number (6-8+?) to register before they decide to play, to try to win a larger 1st-place prize or for more of a challenge. The result of the new schedule seems to be that many of the $1 MBT do not start or have only 2-4 players, which reduces the size of the fields of the larger tournaments by not only those 2-4, but also keeping away additional players who wait for larger tournaments.

 

$2 MBT: It has become rare to see one of these have more than 2-3 players, yet they are still scheduled for every 30 minutes. If a $2 (or higher?) tournament would start once every 2-3 hours instead, I think it is much more likely to have a larger field.
