mike777
My old monitor had problems with many colors not showing up.I just got a new monitor. Now I seem to only get 2 screen sizes...very small and small. How do I get the screen to fill up my computer monitor. It does here in the forum but I only get 2 screen sizes in the card play rooms very small or small screens. Can my screen resolution have something to do with the bbo play rooms not filling my monitor screen or something else?thank you in advance. fred
There are 2 width settings: 800 and 1024. These fill your screen in the horizontal direction if your screen resolution is either of the 2 most popular (800x600 and 1024x768). You can use Control-W to change the width of the BBO window, but this will not work if you have 800x600 resolution. If your BBO window does not fill your screen in the vertical direction, you can use the little "maximize" button near the X in the top right corner of your BBO window. This will make your BBO window fill the screen in the vertical direction, regardless of your screen resolution. You can click maximize button again to restore the vertical size of your BBO window to what it was before. This will not work if you have 800x600 screen resoloution or if you are in wide mode and have 1024x768 screen resolution. mike777
thanks the resolution seems to be the problem. ctrl w just made my tiny bbo screen a bit bigger at 1280. When I went to a smaller resolution and ctrl w it filled the screen. I assume bbo cannot or has chosen to not allow full wide screens at higher resolutions with current tech? btw bbo looks pretty cool with my new monitor that can show red and shades of red.
jmc
I would just add that if you run your screen at 1600x1200 it is easy to jump into 800x600 just to play some bridge and have the WHOLE screen filled with the bbo client. On LCD monitors it is important to run the monitor at the max resolution or the picture often looks terrible. Using exaclty half of the lcd's native resolution looks better than any other options. It still won't look as crisp as at max resolution though. Someday I'd love to see a higher res version of BBO. jmc
