Software sticking

HI there - the problem is this - you make a bid - and you can see it - but the opponents cannot. This happens often now. It occurs with people from all over the world - (I am South AFrican_) - so not a local server or computer problem. Sometimes you have to log out and in again for it sot work............

 

PLEASE HELP.......it disrupts gaems - tourneys, but also in main bridge club.

Likely cause: slow connection

To confirm this: when this happens, send a chat message to an opp or to the table. if they can see the chat but not the bid, problem in code.

 

if they can see neither, most likely a connection problem.

If and when this happens again, please send a chat message to a BBO host (yellow) and ask him/her to check out your table. This person will be able to collect some facts and report them to us (the programmers).

 

If you can discover any patterns as to when this happens (for example, it only happens when you alert a bid or when you are playing MPs) please let us know. This sort of information makes it easier for us to track down problems and fix them.

 

If you have a rough idea as to when this started happening, please let us know. This will make it easier for us to judge which version of the BBO client or server program is responsible for the introduction of such a bug. We can then re-examine the changes we made in that version and, in all likelyhood, figure out exactly what mistake we made and fix the problem.

 

If you encounter other people who have experienced this problem and if you can get them to do these things as well, it can only help. The more data we have the better our chances of coming up with a solution quickly.

 

To the best of my knowledge this is the first report of this particular bug that we have ever received. This leads me to believe that either the bug is not widespread or that it was introduced recently.

I have not seen this specific problem. But I have had a problem with our side was able to see loaded FD explanations but opps were unable to. I think something like 4.9.8. Those opps. were poles as I remember.

Certainly not - I would never dream of doing so.

 

Fred asked for informations - and Condi mentioned it was not a south african problem. Therefore I mentioned that what I have seen was from Europe - and it might be something similar as reported - even not exactly the same.
