whereagles Posted December 3, 2006 Report Share Posted December 3, 2006 Some seem to assume (but I might misunderstand this) that 1NT is less descriptive than dbl so the 1NT-bidder is better positioned to make the decision. It's hard to compare, I think. That is an issue (& I think the doubler is muddier than responder), but, in my opinion, it has more to do with which hand is STRONGER.
