Your bid?

There is a common treatment in NL accoridng to which dbl shows 4+spades while 2 shows 4+hearts and some tollerance for diamonds. With both majors, you double.

Without special agreements, I would either double or pass depending on the opps. Some people overcall on all kind of junk, in which case I want to defend. Against good opps, I'll double and bid 2NT if partner bids 2.

I am not very keen on playing for penalties with the poor pips and fit.

Give partner an ordinary hand such as Axx KQJx KQxxx x, and we might not even be beating 2 and 3NT rates to make our way.

I would either bid 2NT or X, correcting s to NT.

If you pass on the first round you're committed to passing when partner re-opens with a double, because any bid will misdescribe your hand.

If I have an agreement that 2 NT is not natural, I should have an agreement, that X and 2 NT shows this hand, I would never pass, I doubt, that we will get rich in 2 !C X even if we are playing this contract.

If I had passed I am more or less endplayed in the bidding inot passing again, so I would do it.

Are you guys who pass the reopening x assuming partner reopens with x with any hand with short clubs and non wild dist?  say any 11 hpc hand with short clubs?

Or are you assuming partner has some solid defensive opening hand with short clubs?

If he cannot tolerate playing 2C X'd, he would not reopen with X - but it doesn't show more than normal defensive values - 2 tricks minimum and could be more.

Pass and pass.

Passing and then bidding 2NT is totally illogical. If you are going to bid 2NT now, you should have bid it the round before.

I dont belong to the guys, who pass, but I expect partner

to reopen with any of the hands you describe.

With kind regards
