Take out double with void in partner's suit

If your partner opened in major, RHO overcalled in minor, do you think it's routine to make a take-out double with 4 cards in unbid major even if you are void in p's suit?

I raise this question because i've seen everybody recommend it at the another post http://forums.bridgebase.com/index.php?showtopic=16688.

I just feel it's a bit strange, but don't know why.

I don't think its relevant to a negative double, any more than you would respond in a forcing NT with a void in pard's suit. Sometimes you play in a 6-0 fit to try to investigate a 4-4. Thats life :)
