West can't throw a heart, as that allows North to exit K, and can't throw a diamond, as that's the eighth trick. Throwing a low club (which was found at the table) allowed North to exit to my A, at which point the club suit is blocked. The heart switch ensured down 1. It doesn't help West to throw a high club, as under the A he needs to play low or he is throwing away the setting trick.

 

How often do you see one of these? Bridge is a neat game. From the whole regional last week, this humble and irrelevant 2NT contract is the one I most enjoyed.
