Deanrover
Congrats to the team on this milestone. Amazing for those us who remember 'back in the day'. Its taken a lot of work from a lot of ppl, not just the owners but also lots of amazing volunteers like Rain, Ben (Inquiry) etc. and it must be very satisfying for all involved. Here's to 20K in the future! Dean

fred
Thanks to all the 10,000+ who were online - we could not have done it without you  Agree we have great volunteers. BBO would be but a shadow of what it is now without the massive daily efforts made by our yellows, vugraph staff, TDs, teachers, and the many "average" members who help new BBOers to better understand our site and to feel welcome. Free
Well it's not the first time 10000+ people were trying to get online, but the last time there was still a limit set on 9999 logins... :) Anyway, congrats to the team!

pclayton
As soon as Fred made the announcement; it went to 10,004, then to 9,997 then 10,001 - it was kind of funny; you didn't want to see the # dip below 10K once it hit. What amazes me is it seemed today was just a regular Sunday, with no special VG's going on. I can't imagine what it will be during the next world championships. What kind of attendance do other multi-player sites get? At Full-Tilt the other day I noticed about 13K.

hallway
I think it is terrific that it has happened just as BBO is about to launch the new look version. It does not seem so very long ago when it was exciting to see 100 online Then it was 1000 - there was much rejoicing Now 10,000 !! congratulations one and all Wonder if I will still be around to see it go over the 100,000 ;)
mycroft
heh - I still remember logging in for the first time and seeing 4 people online - Fred and me and two others. I am really glad for 250000% growth...
keylime
I can't remember when I first got on - I am just happy we graduated from the black background and red outlining we had on the boards!
