1eyedjack
Obviously not something to consider in the current round of releases, but perhaps for the future? The laws expressly permit dummy to reject a claim by the defence (Law 68D). As I understand it BBO does not admit dummy to the party, in the event of defender claiming. If I am mistaken then please ignore the whole of this post. There may be situations not envisaged by the laws as applied to the online environment that render them obsolete in certain respects, but this does not seem to me to be one of them. You may think that it would be an improvement on the laws if dummy were denied a voice, contrary to the laws but consistent with BBO software. To cater for that possibility, perhaps the table host should have a tick-box in user settings to stipulate whether dummy should be permitted to accept/reject claims. However I do feel that there should at least be the OPTION of complying with the laws, where the possibility exists.
