Translation Time

We will be releasing a new version of BBO to the general membership soon. The user interface in the new version contains a lot of new features and a lot of substantial changes to old features. As a result, more new English words and phrases appear in the interface of this version than in most new versions.

 

So there is a more translation work to be done than usual. Also more than usual is the importance of this work. A lot of BBO members are going to be in for a surprise when they see the new version - it is very different. The change will be easier for them to deal with if they can experience it in their native language :P

 

If you have done translation work for us in the past, please help us (and BBO members who speak your language) again by translating the new words and phrases as soon as you get a chance. Please use our web-based translation facility to do this work (as opposed to editing the language file on your PC).

If you have not seen the new BBO, here is a link to a post about version 4.9.5 - the most recent beta version as of the time of this post. Most likely there will be at least one more beta version within the next few days, but it is unlikely that this will have any impact on translation work.

For those of you who are curious, the BBO interface (at least the "old" interface) has been translated into the following languages. If you are interested in doing the necessary work to add another language to the list (it is a lot of work), please let me know by e-mail.
