inquiry
First look, I like it very much... First annoyance. I went to play bridge, then all tournaments, and the tourneys in more than an hour option was missing. I switched to classic mode (cntrl-C) and it was there, and when I switched back to new mode (cntrl-C) clearly toggles between the two, the tounrneys later was now there. I logged off and logged back on, and the tourneys later than 1 hour remained there. Not sure if everyone will see that behavior, just odd. DJNeill
Hi all,I really like the further categorization of rooms - friendly/main/masters, free/ACBL/MP tournaments. Thanks,Dan
DJNeill
Hi,Under Help, the bullet images to the left of each item are not there, just a default windows image. When I click on any of the links, "this page cannot be found", as of now. Thanks,Dan
DJNeill
Hi,Just an idea, but if we have a back button for navigation, is there never enough depth to warrant a forward button, like in a browser? Thanks,Dan
fred
Hi,Under Help, the bullet images to the left of each item are not there, just a default windows image. When I click on any of the links, "this page cannot be found", as of now. Thanks,Dan That is an example of what I meant when I said that the new menu structure is still rough around the edges. What you see on the various levels of menus is not final yet and some of the elements (as you noticed) either do nothing or do very little at this point in time. Expect to see freqent changes in this area in the weeks to come. Fred GitelmanBridge Base Inc.www.bridgebase.com
inquiry
Not entirely sure a lot of help will be needed... this will be a huge help for new users.... a looking for team game by partnerships or by entire teams would be helpful too, but just the looking for game should help even finding team games... sceptic
I would be grateful if you can open the forums link in a new window please Fred why are the yellows green, now you are confusing me on the screen displaying the tables, The spacing is a major YUK, not that good for us optically challenged people flashing Vugraph does not look pretty and it appears to be black ? all opinions here are bias and bigotted but meant with good intention :)
Gerben42
No just Rain is green since she is looking for a game. The rest of the yellows are... well... yellow. In the new setup it might be helpful to make the Vugraph tables take up two lines.

david_c
on the screen displaying the tables, The spacing is a major YUK, not that good for us optically challenged peopleHave you tried setting it to use small font? [i think it would probably be best if that was made the default.] Or did you mean something else?
sceptic
I was refering to the names crammed up on the right and the spacing for the names on the tables

jikl
Don't know whether this is intended or not, but when playing or kibitzing if you click on Lobby you still get BIG arrows instead of scrollbars. Sean
barmar
The announcement says: Whenever you are in the new BBO there are 2 big buttons "Home" and "Back" that are useful for navigational purposes. However, when you're at a table there is no "Home" button.
Free
Yesterday I played some boards with 3 friends of mine. 3 of us had the new version, 1 still had an old version and was host of the table. He had to switch computers so he left the table and I became host. However, there was no "table" button available, only a disabled button with an icon looking like one from a text document in windows. I forgot to take a screenshot, sry :)

jillybean
The new ‘seeking a game’ category has no option to view these players along with friends, enemies, hosts etc. I think it would be useful to list friends and players seeking a game. on one screen. I do like the ability to view tournaments and friends from one screen now :) jb

Sean Intentional - vertical screen space is a problem when you are at a table, especially if you run BBO in an 800x600 window. So I chose to forget about the scrollbar in this context. Dwingo
Good job. I like 6 colums in Lobby, 1 column in Main Bridge Club, 2 columns in Team Matches and 1 column in Tournament screen. I will really love this, if I have this option. 3 columns gets a bit clumsy in the Tournament and Main Bridge Club.

I will really love this, if I have this option. 3 columns gets a bit clumsy in the Tournament and Main Bridge Club.I'm afraid I would find it quite annoying if, when I wanted to change the number of columns, a change that I made when I happened to be in one place was not carried across when I moved elsewhere. Particularly the first time using the new version, when you might want to change the default. I think it would be quite confusing if you could change the number of columns in one place and then find that it appeared to change back again when you moved somewhere else. How about making the main menu distinct from the lobby? So that the main menu would look like it does now, with a small number of columns of players, but if you wanted to search through the list of online players you could go to the lobby where they would be displayed across the whole screen like in previous versions. [i guess you wouldn't call it the "lobby" any more in that case, but you get the idea.]
