Hope really to find some help here. Thank you very much. My computer has windows 98.

It's a message wrote on a pink paper who say " privacy alert" or "privacy agency". This message is about 10cmx10 cm. It goes off when I reboot but comes back few minutes after i begin to play. And the only choice I have is to turn off the computer for these days when I have this message. Hope you understood what i try to explain but I'm french, and I try to do my best. Thank you very much for trying to understand my pb.

Hello Martoche

Fred or Uday would need to answer for sure, however, I don't think that what you are experiencing is connected to the BBO application. There are a number of types of SPAM based on Windows Messenger Service. I would guess that your problems are related to this. [i can't imagine that anyone would bother to develop a SPAMbot targeting BBO]

It would be very useful to understand whether this same message crops up when the Bridge Base Online application is not running.

Hi,

It seems your problem has nothing to do with the BBO software itself - it is either a message from a personal firewall (if you have

installed such a beast :) ), or some Adware or Spyware found its

place on your computer.

If it's the firewall thing, adjust the firewall settings to always allow

connection to BBO without any further confirmation.

Should it be some Adware or Spyware, download and install

a) SpybotSD and :) Ad-aware and run these programs to get

rid of the annoying message/s.

SpybotSD: http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?...ng=fr&page=news

Ad-aware: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

Good luck

Andreas

I think I know what this is. Depending on which site you visit, there are pop ups one of which is this "privacy alert" pop up which wants you to download software to "protect your privacy" from prying eyes. This has nothing to do with bbo at all. Best is to download and install a freeware pop up stopper. Have a look at www.download.com and you should find what you need.

Cheers

Ron
