paulg
Over the past two or three weeks I've noticed a significant degredation in the BBO response time in a number of areas. Logging in always takes a fair time and there is a noticeable lag marking "stars" and displaying "vugraph in progress" after the initial list of players is shownClaims - people having trouble making and accepting claimsGiving permission for people to sit at the table - I do this a lot in BIL teaching sessions and I often give permission for someone to sit but they do not 'receive' permission and have to try againWhile waiting for my last 2 tourneys to start (20 table affairs), I have been waiting in the tournament area watching the time count down. Then I have seen the message turn to "The tournament will start in ." and stay there for some considerable time. I've never seen this before and suggests (to me) that it is more likely to be a server issue than a local one. Some of my friends have had similar 'slow' problems recently so I do not think it is just me or my ISP (though it could be a UK problem). Just thought I'd report this. Cheers Paul

uday
I reccently fixed an old bug that made tourneys start 1 minute earlier than they were supposed to . Now Ts start exactly on time, but for that last minute before they start they display 'will start in' instead of 'will start in less than a minute'. Cosmetic only. The server load has been much the same for a while, and it is likely, imo, a local connectivitiy issue. Your connection seems fine from us to you, though, at least at this moment. Echognome
Perhaps it is a UK thing, but my connection has also been spotty lately. At times it works just smooth and fine and other times when it really drags. I hadn't experienced this problem before. I have a fairly new computer and I'm on broadband (albeit via a wireless router).
Dwingo
It can't be a UK thing only. I live in different time zone and this is what I observed regarding slowness 1) I was registered for a tourney and was in the tourney screen. You see on screen, Tourney will start in 1min and after sometime, Tourney will start in . min During the time I saw this "Tourney will start in . min ", I could see the all the Director's chat to the Tournament giving instructions. The chat appeared to be coming without any delay. From this, I could guess, that the tourney probabaly had started and after probably a full minute, the table with the cards opened. This was strange and it is the 1st time I am seeing it. 2) My pd kept saying, he has posted the cc ( Old convention card, not FD) and when I click CONV and then on "Show old convention card window", nothing would happen. I tried clicking on it several times during the course of the tournament and finally gave up.
uday
During the time I saw this "Tourney will start in . min " See above. this is displayed when the T is about to start (ie, less than 1 min to go).
barmar
I reccently fixed an old bug that made tourneys start 1 minute earlier than they were supposed to . Now Ts start exactly on time, but for that last minute before they start they display 'will start in' instead of 'will start in less than a minute'. Cosmetic only. Did this change also affect the end times? I played in a couple of MBTs this week, and it seemed like they ended while the timer still said "1 minute". It used to be that the timer said "0 minutes" during the last minute. I wish there was a more precise countdown timer, at least during the last minute or two.
