mikeh
So far I have 12 sets of answers, and am awaiting at least a couple more from experts I have invited to express their views, so that we get a good cross-section of answers and contrasting comments. I can tell you that I have got some great comments so far. Keep them coming: either pm me or send by email to m.hargreaves@shaw.ca. And even if you are not 'on the panel', add comments. I will NOT quote comments critically... well, if you are on the panel and make a odd comment, you can expect a gentle poke, but non--panel members only get quoted when they make a good point. Anyway, so far, all comments have been well-thought-out, even (especially?) where I personally take a different view. I expect to start posting the comments and scores late next week: it would be good to have a larger sample of answers! Don't be shy... especially if you are one of the browsers who rarely or never posts... now's your chance to get involved.

mikeh
Just wanted to say I hated these problems, I found almost all of them to be really really hard. Thanks! Choosing problems that challenge the best players is a challenge in and of itself. I only add: those of you worrying that your answers may be 'wrong' or 'silly' etc, should find comfort in Justin's words. I can tell you that the experts so far agree on few of the problems, so don't worry: almost any conceivable bid will have got some expert support :)
Guest Jlall
Even I disagreed with myself...I read the problems again and forgot what answers I gave so mentally I re-answered them. Once I looked at what I sent I had changed two of my answers ROFL.
inquiry
almost any conceivable bid will have got some expert support :) I doubt you read mine yet then... ;) I am sure PASS must be right on a few of them, but I didn't find a green card in my box... keylime
I'll volunteer for the panel. These problems were CHALLENGING. I spent almost 2 hours thinking them over.
whereagles
That's funny. I spent like 5 mins for the lot. If I spend more that what I'd spend at table it's not realistic ;)
Double !
These problems were CHALLENGING. I spent almost 2 hours thinking them over. Dwayne:You made the understatement of the year. There were several times when I felt like "show me my partner's hand and maybe then I'll be better able to tell you what to bid". There were a few hands where i vacillated between two bids and really am still having second (and third, and fourth) thoughts about my selections. I feel like someone who just came out of a major exam and wants to go around to others and ask something like "what did you answer for question 3?", or "did you get question 5?", etc. Evil set of hands....wicked... Best wishes to all for a wonder and Happy New Year  DHL

Best wishes to all for a wonder and Happy New Year :) DHL I agree, but I still took only the normal time as at the table, which does not mean, that on reflection I would have choosen something different. The hands raised some issues regarding partnership understanding, ... but those can onlybe resolved after the hands are over. Most of the time I discover, that we are onthe same wave length, even in cases, are scriptssays different, ... which indicate, that we need to change the script. With kind regardsMarlowe
