barmar
I have a laptop with an external 24-inch monitor that I've extended my desktop onto. I'm not mirroring the laptop screen because then I can't take advantage of the high resolution capability of the external monitor. Whenever I start up BBO, it displays on the laptop screen instead of the external montor, and I always have to move it over to the monitor manually. Is there any way to make oit remember where I moved it to so I don't have to do this every time?
Rain
I read 24" monitor and then I stop reading everything else and that's all I can think about. =P

bmhc
I think if you go to display settings and change your primary monitor to the 24" one it should work.
barmar
Unfortunately, on most laptops you can't change the primary monitor, it's always the built-in LCD. I just started a new job, and the standard "desktop" computer is a ThinkPad plus a widescreen LCD. I guess I should be happy with the huge screen rather than complain about minor issues like this, but it's annoying how many applications (including lots of Windows control panels) always open on the primary monitor rather than remember their settings. And hey, I didn't complain about not being able to enlarge the BBO window to take advantage of all the space I have -- it looks so small on the 1920x1200 screen. :) The movie window seems to be inconsistent. I just kibbitzed a team game, and the first time I clicked on Movie it opened up right over the BBO window on the monitor. I closed it and clicked Movie again, and this time it opened on the primary screen. What's going on here?
