whereagles
Matchpoints, adv field and table. V vs NV, you hold: ♠ J73♥ A5♦ KJT9852♣ 4 Pard LHO you RHOpass pass 3♦ dblpass 3NT (ap) 3♦ = "I don't care for vulnerabilities" :P What is your lead and why? Will you lead something else at imps? Blofeld
The 3♦ bid is fine. I lead the ♦K. This might blow a trick, but it also might not. Even at matchpoints we'd like to get the opponents down :P
Codo
I led a spade at mp and the King of D at imps

I call the director and explain the bidding seems to have gone counter clockwise, and with my "LHO" biddign 3NT, I want my partner to lead. :-)
kenberg
I agree with the lead of the king of diamonds. Partner could have a stiff Q, as mentioned, and dummy could have a stiff Q. Given that I am going to lead a diamond, and I am, the king seems right. There is a reasonable shot at setting this contract, and even when the K goes into the AQ it doesn't always affect the trick total. Usually it does, but not always. whereagles
picky, picky ben.. lol Anyway, congrats all. ♦K was indeed the good lead. Pard had a 4414 with the singleton queen! Declarer could not make 9 tricks without going through the hearts, so he went 3 down when he tried a heart :)
