Bidding and Playing Against Self

Hi,

Thank you for the great BBO system. I am just starting to learn how to play bridge and have a suggestion that may help the novice players.

The partnership bidding rooms are very powerful, as I can create deals that highlight exactly the concepts I'm trying to practice (reply to suit opener, reply to NT, etc.).

However, I don't believe there is an easy way for me to sit at more than one seat, and thus practice bidding by myself with the automatically generated hands.

Also, I don't believe I can create teaching rooms (where I can sit at more than one seat) with hands constrained as they are in the bidding section.

Having the ability to practice bidding against myself, and also practice play on hands constrained with the tools of the practice bidding system would go a long way in helping us novice players drill some of the basic concepts in a sandbox.

Once again thank you very much for your efforts on BBO.

Tom

If you're renting the GIB bot you can practise bidding with GIB.

For teaching table hand creation--since you can create exact hands, you're able to get whatever type of hands you want. 2 easy methods if you don't know what cards to deal: There are people (teachers) who are actually creating hands for sale. You can save time by just purchasing from them. Or you can save money by dealing the hands yourself with alternative programs and then typing in the hands to create them. (Or just read your bridge books/softwares and enter the hands featured yourself.)
