pzpp
I like to play at BBO a lot, thanks Fred. But, I am suffering from too much "shouting" while at a table, playing or kibitzing. I think it would make BBO tables a much more pleasant place to enjoy bridge if we can have a function button to block or "muffle" the noise of lobby talks, calling for substitutes and especially anyone announcing a new tounaments, etc. Anyone at the table while need to receive some message can keep the button open, other persons, like me, can choose to close it. uday
There is an option in your profile to "Ignore Lobby Chat" Fastest way to access it is probably the F10 key (or right click on your own username). You can access your profile by either left-clicking your own username or by pressing control-p Uday
Tola18
Yes. But there are still some noise coming through. Now tournaments starting, Wugraph restarting, etc. I dont know if this is so big nuisance, I do copy with the lobby turned off, but I understand the proposal about possibility to shut this off.If I want to be at THIS table, these are only sheer nuisance. Or if I dont play in tournaments tournaments announcements are ALWAYS a nuisance. But of course, if the house is on fire, or somebody is very ill and need help - yes, this should of course override the shutoffs... Perhaps several alternatives to shut off:shut off tournaments announcementsshut of Wugraph announcements? Why. The tournaments announcements could perhaps be shut off even with Lobby on! Even these are nuisance if I dont participate in tournaments at the moment, but want to listen and particopate to Lobby.
jillybean
Ask each tournament organization to take you off their distribution list. If you must receive the messages to belong to the club/play in their tournaments then create another Id with no club membership for quiet table play. jb
