I found the spelling they wanted by doing a google search, and ended up at another forum where people were talking about this puzzle! I have to admit that I made heavy use of google and ask.com. I considered this to be what the puzzle is about -- knowing the right questions to ask, like "Who was the 16th president" or how to find a periodic table of the elements online.
