armagnac
When the score is reset, the boards previously played disappear. Why ? I always have to set the title of the table to "no reset". And every new opponent (every 3 minuts) says : reset please... Very annoying.
inquiry
Your probably have the files saved on your computer, and you can always find earlier hands played at http://online.bridgebase.com/myhands/index.php for at least a few months after you play the hands, so the reset/don't reset issue is not a big issue, at least in my opinion. armagnac
I hate to have to search the hands played with an URL I never remember. Why not use a "not clear board" method ? A heavy topic for me :o

julie5607
I would like to strongly second this request as this is a pet peeve of mine. I like to keep track of my session as I play it, in other words, after 20 hands or so know easily if I am ahead or behind, so I never clear scores, whether I am up or down. I also like to go over hands I have played when I am dummy, and watch them as the results come in - which sometimes takes quite a while. My playing profile says I don't clear scores, and I explain it to new opps as they sit, but it never fails - a new opp will come in, demand a score reset, I will politely refuse and explain why, and I will be told off as rude and not knowing the "rules of the site". If I play for a few hours I can count on this happening at least 3 or 4 times in the session - not suprisingly it happens much less if my partner and I are behind, but even then I have been called many names for not resetting. And then of course there are the times we clear the score and the opp who requested it doesn't even stay for half a hand. Being able to clear scores but keep the movies of previous hands would be a big improvement. An even bigger improvement would be an automatic baseline score of zero for new players as they sit, but the retention of their own "existing" scores and movies for players as long as they remain seated (or return to a seat reserved for them in the case of a disconnect). I truly believe programming something along these lines into BBO would eliminate a good deal of conflict. Julie
Al_U_Card
I agree that this is a reasonable and sensible request.

I truly believe programming something along these lines into BBO would eliminate a good deal of conflict. I wholeheartedly agree. This is one of my pet peeves also, I am entitled as host of the table to know what my running session score is, perhaps even more so than the person who just sat down. It annoys me to no end that these people seem to get some sort of perverse enjoyment from sitting down, saying "reset please" and then as you do so, they get mad because you didnt do it fast enough and leave, or they play 1-2 bds, get terrible results and then leave. I wouldnt mind doing it so much if the person at least stuck around for a few boards, but 2? Geez. It seems that what julie has suggested is a marked improvement over the current methods.
